Full Dentures

These are for patients that have lost all of their teeth and rely on the dentures to fit through suction and muscle control, during your FREE consultation you will be assessed to see which dentures are best for you.

Partial Dentures

These dentures are for people who have lost one to several teeth but can still use their remaining natural teeth too enable the denture to fit around them. A thorough examination is undertaken by our dentist Vishal Rana to ensure your mouth is healthy and strong enough to tolerate this type of denture.

Implant Retained Dentures

Implant retained dentures are becoming the choice of patients to support full dentures (link to Implant Page) They are popular because they allow the patient to throw away the denture fixative whilst giving your dentures stability.

Types of Partial Dentures

Valplast flexible denture

Flexible dentures are an ideal replacement of one or two teeth. They blend in well with the natural appearance of your gums, making them virtually invisible. The plastic has a chameleon effect and it is very strong meaning it can be made very thin picking up the characteristics of the natural tissue. It is a good alternative to invasive treatment such as a bridge and is excellent as a temporary denture after implants have been placed.

Partial Acrylic Denture

This type of denture replaces one or a few teeth to give it a natural appearance, it fits around the natural teeth, as it is made of plastic it has more coverage so can be more bulky. The advantages are that teeth can be added easily at a later date, Our CDT Roddy will discuss the best options available to you.

Chrome Dentures

Chrome dentures have a metal base plate or framework that sits on or around the natural teeth on which denture teeth are attached by acrylic. It gives better stability and retention from the framework gripping around the natural teeth to give you improved chewing forces. The advantages are that they are comfortable to wear, smaller and thinner, a better chewing experience and very strong, It is an excellent choice for a patient with a strong gag reflex.

Types of Full and Implant Retained Dentures

Overview

My experience with Sunshine Dental has been wonderful. They’re always really cooperative, and are really patient with me.My dental hygiene has always been something I’ve struggled with, but I have never felt judged at all by any of the team as I have at other practices before. On top of having an ongoing dentist phobia (which has improved thanks to Sunshine), I’m also autistic and very sensitive to sound and light in particular. The team at Sunshine Dental have always been really patient with me when I’ve visited, letting me have breaks so I don’t get overstimulated. Last time I went, I was expecting to have a load of cavities (shockingly, I didn’t - guess I just have strong teeth and have been lucky) but Vishal was really caring and explained everything so that nothing was a surprise to me.Although I haven’t been for an appointment for a while due to being away at university, I’m always happy with the service when I do go. And although I still have a way to go with my phobia and anxiety, I’m definitely a lot better considering it took a while to even get me through the door when I first came! These days I find that it’s a lot less scary than I think, and my dental hygiene is slowly improving.

Very disappointing establishment. After I shared my one and only concern, regarding an appointment I didn’t confirm to go ahead (which I attended and paid for regardless of the misunderstanding) lead them to discontinuing my service. Because of these unreasonable, hasty actions I would advise anyone not to use. What saddens me is the amount of money I’ve spent here, yet they appear to show no loyalties to patients. Be warned, they are very quick to turn, so if you value honesty, consistency and authentic characteristics- avoid at all costs. I’m very disappointed with these bunch of miscreants. Sunshine Dental, I will be reporting you for bad practice. Thanks
